Les plus grandes salles souterraines naturelles
The largest natural underground chambers

Fabien Darne – 09/06/2015

AVERTISSEMENT

FOREWORD

This list ordered by decreasing rooms surface. It does not have yet a value of example so much, firstly, the definition of an underground room is subject to discuss (some could be considered galleries...) ; so much, secondly, all the authors does not agree on the method to use to measure surface of the rooms (for my part, I only make the multiplication of thelength by the width given by the explorers, which amounts calculating the surface of the right-angled parallelepiped containing the room and overestimates the surface of circular or complex rooms) and so much, thirdly, it's difficult to join together reliable and precise elements about them.

Others websites :

With supplements of Richard Grebeude, Yvan Robin, Eric Varrel, François Brouquisse, Georges Robert, Richard Walters...

This list is intended to cause reactions, comments and draft amendments. Thank you to inform me of your note : atlk<AT>free.fr
